Our Fishing Industry on the up!

Local MP Tim Loughton and John Malone of HMP Lewes came to visit Monteum Ltd to celebrate the working partnership we have with HMP Lewes in our new Lobster Pot manufacturing venture.

We are proud that we are working closely alongside HMP Lewes, enabling inmates to gain new valuable skills to assist them in their futures. Additionally we hope that by employing young unskilled workers and training them, their valuable education will provide our fishing industry with a bright and shiny future.

We are very pleased to announce that Chris Hubbard and Kyle Carpenter (subject to him passing the Radio Operatives Licence) of the Royal Rebel, have achieved their Skippers tickets!

Does this mean they will now be trusted to Skipper the Rebel while Jim eats bacon sandwiches and snores????

Monteum has proved funds for a new Coastal Rowing Four for Shoreham Rowing Club. We hope the Club enjoys our contribution as much as we enjoy seeing them working hard out there. 🙂

Monteum was awarded £41,260.50 grant by the European Fisheries Fund (EFF) and the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) in order to assist in making improvements to Fisherman’s Wharf and subsequently the fishermen’s working environment whilst encouraging improvement to the quality of landed fish.
